1.Enkindle competitive spirit among children to sharpen their talents

To sharpen the latent skills and showcase the talent of the students, a host of co-curricular activities have been organized during the course of this year. All the students who have performed well 2018-2019 were given certificates by principal and the Secretary of the school in different occasions to boost their talents. The environment of competitions and lessons of victory and defeat were sufficiently created through Inter-House, Inter-Class competitions such as Drawing Competition was organized by Ms. Sweta & Mrs. Akansha in May; English Poem Recitation competition was organized by Ms. Suamya & Mrs.Akansha in the month of July; Fancy Dress Competition was organized by Ms. Neha & Mrs. Varsha in September; Solo Dance Competition was organized by Mrs. Varsha and Mrs. Akansha in October; Spelling Bee Competition was organized by Mrs. Akansha & Ms. Shreya in November; English & Hindi writing competition was organized by Mrs. Sweta & Ms. Neha in February; For all these competitions Judges from various institutions were invited and they motivated our children with their valuable presence and encouraging words.

Apart from this, our Children also involved in displaying creative and attractive posters on the notice board for various occasions and on different themes. They also participated in drawing, craft and art work especially on Saturdays.

On Saturdays children had PT classes to lean march-fast, had physical exercises, breathing exercises, and had dance, singing and skit practices for diverse occasions.

2. Events and Celebrations:

 
 
 

St. Thomas, the Patron of St. Thomas Mission School, Bettiah, his feast was celebrated on 3rd July 2019 by the children, staff and the management. All were invited to be like a doubting Thomas to doubt things to know depth of the knowledge and to strengthen the noble purpose our life. The new Secretary,     Fr. Paul Joseph was welcomed on the occasion and a short cultural progarmme was organized for the students and sweets were distributed to the children; and the staff and the management had a festive lunch.

On August 15, 2019, 42nd Independence Day of India

 

Independence Day of India was celebrated in St. Thomas School. Fr. Paul Joseph, the Chief Guest, hoisted the National Flag which was followed by a short cultural programme which includes patriotic songs, poem recitation, speeches and dances etc. Fr. Paul Joseph invited the participants to be involved in dignified deeds and generous service which will bring glory and honour to Motherland, India.

On 21st December2019, Christmas programme

 

Christmas programme was organized at St. Thomas School. Mr. Manoranjan Jha (ACJM), Mr. Yogesh Sharan Tripathi (ACJM), Mr. Sanjeev Kumar (DPO), Mr. Satish Kumar (Manager of Vijaya Bank, Mr. Rakesh D’Cruz, Mr. Manoj (Ward Member) were present in the programme. A short joy filled cultural programme was organized which includes blessing of the crib, carol singing, Christmas Skit, Mono Act, Dances and Speeches etc. All were served Christmas cake, and teachers and guests received Christmas gifts on the occasion.

On 26th January 2020, Republic Day of our Country

 

Republic Day of our Country was celebrated at             St. Thomas School to honor the longest and largest democracy of India. Mr. Rajeev Kumar Gupta hoisted the national flag and invited the participants to take responsibility for the future of the children. Students’ recited the poems, delivered a short speeches and performed dances, and Fr. Pascal Anand invited the participants to know their constitutional Rights and Duties to be responsible citizens.

The Children Day was celebrated on 17th November

 

It was celebrated in the form of a picnic of our children and the staff at    St. Teresa School Campus, Bettiah. Many games such as Musical Chair, Circle Games, Throw Ball, Running Race etc. were played by our kids under the guidance of our teachers. The children enjoyed the day to the maximum, and at end children shared their eatables, and snacks with each other.

The Teachers Day was celebrated on at St. Thomas Mission School

 

Teacher day was started with prayer dance, followed by teacher day message and a short cultural programme by the children to appreciate and thank teachers. Fr. Pascal Anand appreciated and thanked all teachers for their selfless service and total commitment for the holistic growth of the children. At the end, children were give chocolate, and teachers along with Fathers had a festive lunch.
